FFLA is leading
the way and in showing that abortion does not uphold women's rights.
A pro-life position is the most pro-woman and they show why. They have
an excellent college outreachprogram that provides women with real
options.
There are few things
in life more disgusting than men who, when discussing abortion, use
the phrase: "I can't tell a woman what to do with her body."
Consider this: By
vesting all reproductive responsibility in the woman, a pro-choice male
creates a situation in which men can easily rationalize their irresponsibility
toward women who choose not to have an abortion.
Abortion does not
liberate women. On the contrary, abortion - and the perceived need for
it - validate the patriarchal world view which holds that women, encumbered
as they are by their reproductive capacity, are inferior to men.

Abortion does not solve any ... problems, though it may temporarily relieve them. A poor woman does not cease to be poor because she aborts her child. A professional woman will not achieve equality of treatment by becoming unpregnant.
A woman with an unplanned pregnancy faces more than "inconvenience"; many adversities, financial and social, at school, at work, and at home confront her. Our mistake was in looking at these problems and deciding that the fault lay with the woman, that she should be the one to change. We focused on her swelling belly, not the pressures that made her so desperate. What a choice we made for her.

We have the job of rallying the community to find better solutions to pregnancy than killing the baby, than pitting mother against child.
